These flowers came off of my neighbor's (Georgi) tree. I have no idea what they are! They hang upside down from the tree and are absolute gorgeous! It was an experiment to cut them and put them in a vase. In order to do that you had to put them upside-down (to make them right side up!).
I brought them home, put them in water on the kitchen counter and began to paint immediately. About a 1/3 of the way through some of the petals began to fall off. So I had to paint faster! Luckily I finished before it was too late. These special flowers were not meant to be enjoyed on their tree, but glad I caught them in a painting to treasure.
