This painting comes from a trip to Southern France: I was bicycling around Saint-Remy when I broke down and became stranded. I walked a long ways and while it was a bad memory in the making until I came upon this beautiful scene. It was simply perfect: the light, the shadows, the landscape, all of it! It was worth it all!
