Thoughtful Buffalo

Today I am sharing one of the Bison / Buffalo paintings called “Thoughtful Buffalo”.   This is a gorgeous buffalo from Texas who I had the pleasure of meeting in person. The sweet looking creature in the painting really is a large and somewhat intimidating creature. However, in this shot I saw a softer side, perhaps more thoughtful  side, during that one moment in time. I wanted to capture that and share it in a painting.

    Sweet. As long as I don’t have to get up close in person. Lovely colors. At first I thought, watercolor? But then I saw the great brushstrokes, used so effectively.

    They are soooo big and powerful! You can’t get too close, so don’t worry Linda!
    Love that you first thought it was watercolor-perhaps it is good to “transcend all mediums”!

    Love love love your passion for these beautiful animal. You were able to get up close and personal. Nice buffalo slobbers, huh?

    So True Cindy, but I feel like the dirt and slobber was their “gift” to me.
